Our Cause
At Hope and Hooves Rescue & Sanctuary, we exist to give vulnerable farm animals the one thing they’ve often never had: safety, compassion, and a loving home.
Our mission began with a focus on rescuing animals from the cruel realities of the auction pipeline—where countless goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, horses, and other farmed animals are treated as nothing more than commodities. Many are sick, injured, discarded, or overlooked, facing an uncertain and often heartbreaking fate.
But our work doesn’t stop at the auction. We open our gates to any farm animals in need of a loving home, whether they’re coming from abandonment, neglect, owner surrenders, or situations where they simply have nowhere else to go. If they need a safe place to land, we are here.
At Hope and Hooves, every animal is seen as an individual with a story, a personality, and a right to live peacefully. We provide each one with medical care, nutritious food, gentle rehabilitation, and—most importantly—a safe place.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% donation-funded and community-supported. Your generosity directly impacts lives—helping us rescue more animals, build safe enclosures, cover ongoing care, and create a place where healing and hope are possible.

Rescue
We act quickly and compassionately when an animal is in need. Many of our residents are saved from livestock auctions, where they are often scared, injured, or days away from slaughter. Others come from neglectful situations or homes that can no longer care for them.
Our rescue efforts focus on the most vulnerable: the overlooked, the unwanted, and the forgotten. Each rescue begins a journey toward safety, healing, and unconditional love.
Rehabilitation
Healing begins the moment an animal enters our care. Many arrive malnourished, injured, or emotionally shut down. We provide immediate medical treatment, a peaceful environment, and the time and patience they need to recover both physically and emotionally.
Our approach is rooted in kindness. We let the animals set the pace, giving them the space to build trust and rediscover what it means to feel safe, valued, and loved.
Education
We believe awareness is as powerful as rescue. Through storytelling, community outreach, and educational content, we aim to shine a light on the lives and personalities of farmed animals—and the often unseen cruelty they face.
By sharing the journeys of our residents, we hope to inspire compassion, shift perspectives, and encourage others to consider how their choices can protect the most vulnerable among us.
